Duties and Responsibilities of the Job

Primarily responsible for programming & proofing 1^st article weldments
Work with all robot operators to transfer any new technical information that has been received or learned in the shop, field or training class. Implement best practices related to robot programming and machine operation.
Evaluate current programs and recommend path and cycle time optimizations to fabricate a quality product as quickly as feasible in a repeatable manner. Must be able to take a new or existing fixture and program a weld or fabrication path to create the intended part repeatably
Provide the technical expertise required for integration, programming, assistance, and service of robotic cells. Keep up to date on technical manuals
Keep Management informed on any open issues so they can ensure coverage on projects. Communicate with vendors and external support on problems which arise and cannot be solved internally
Be able to do basic preventative maintenance and other repairs on robot-driven equipment
Set up and run welding robots and other duties as assigned by supervisor

Minimum Requirements of Employer:

Programming Languages used: Motosim/Yaskawa Controller (YRC1000) – Robot Master (Offline Program Software)
3-5 year’s experience with robot welding certification
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
Will be expected to pass internal Robot-Mig weld test, visual inspection of final weld quality
Lift operation
